Dear Back2Basics Families,
Friday morning the fellas got packed up for a basecamp trip to Strawberry Hill. After packing up, we hit the road. We arrived at our campsite and set up our tents for the evening.. The guys enjoyed an evening of hanging out and playing cards. Seeing a monsoon building, a couple of the guys decided to start dinner a little early. In the middle of cooking the rain and thunder started. While huddled under the canopy the guys ate and played cards. After the storm passed the temperature cooled down and the guys called it a night.
Saturday morning the guys woke up and started breakfast early to hit the road to Tonto National Bridge. Once we arrived we started our hike. The hike was 2 miles through a cave with a beautiful waterfall at the end. A few guys couldn’t resist jumping into the water to cool off. The hike offered great sites! After lunch we had a “Sharing is Caring” group. We took a hiking break to get hydrated then headed back to basecamp. Back at camp we cooked dinner and played cards. The group did a 12 minute meditation before bed.
Sunday, the group headed to a well known hiking/swimming spot called “The Crack”, near Sedona . After breakfast we loaded up and headed out to the Crack. We filled up on water needed for the 3.5 mile hike. Once we all made it to the crack everyone was ready to jump in the water. Right away the guys started jumping, flipping, and trying new cliff jumping tricks. It was a great time; everyone had a blast. We noticed some dark clouds rolling in so we decided to head out before the rain started. On our hike out, it rained for about 15 minutes. On our way back to camp, we stopped at Filiberto’s to grab some well earned dinner. It was delicious! When we got back to basecamp the guys decided to play some cards to end the night. It was a very long day in the sun. Everyone slept well.
With Love,
B2B Boys
